Bilini extra virgin olive oil won the first prize second year in a row at one of the biggest events in the world – The New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC 2019).
NYIOOC is the most visited and most renowned competition between olive oil producers. The list of winners is one of the most prestigeous extra virgin olive oil guides in th ewhole world.
10th of May 2019 the best olive oils were presented at a conference to many chefs, nutritionists, restaurant owners, producers distributers and jurnalists from all over the world.
More than 1000 samples from 27 countries were tested to the smallest details and their chemical compositions were tested. The judges were 18 experts olive oil analisys among whom were 2 representatives from Croatia: Karolina Brkić Bubola from The Institute of Poreč for agriculture and tourism and Dr. Mirella Zanetić from The Institute for Adriatic cultures. The rest of the judges were from o Spain, Italy, Greece, Argentina, Chile, Tunisia, Brazile, France, Japan and USA.
